Update

Dear Friends,

I write this to update you on our fundraising efforts for the RGG. To date we have raised just over $3,000 - a great accomplishment!

It was a wonderful and productive visit with the RGG ladies in Cape Town in early January. We took measurements of the land and visited a number of Wendy House retailers to get quotes and compare quality. It seems that the quality varies greatly from retailer to retailer, and to build a structure of adequate dimensions we will need $10,000-$12,000 which is far more than originally estimated.

At this point I am in discussion with the RGG ladies about Wendy Houses that they have seen, as well as alternative options. No matter what avenue we take, supplies are expensive far more expensive in South Africa than in neighboring countries, and this project is going to be more expensive than originally thought.

Our goal is still to purchase a structure for the RGG. We are still gratefully accepting contributions of all amounts, no amount is too small! Our timeline is not set in stone, but the goal is to make a purchase by September.

Please stay in touch, thank you for your support!
